SEEDS OF WISDOM

Most of us had travelled on the bus, train or other vehicles, and came across with many people, experiences. I want to share an episode that made me realize that WHAT LIFE WE ARE LIVING IS SIMPLY PERFECT IN ITS WAY. Everything happens in its pace only what you can do is to live it. Yes, you must give your full efforts to what you want to achieve but must admit that you are living in the desired place and time.

The dawn was about to touch my face, the dusk was dim. When at the Ambala Railway Station, the train stopped. The crowd, people, noise and suddenly a strange voice seeks my attention begging something. He was a kid of approximately 5 years of age. His appearance was so embarrassing that I got sympathetic. Except for torn inners, he had not worn anything.

 I asked him some common questions, “Why he begs in such a small age? Why doesn’t he go to school?”

Suddenly the train blows the horn. He keeps on begging and in hurry or I must say in some expectations he answered “PLEASE MAM. GIVE ME SOMETHING. I AM ORPHAN AND NEED TO FEED MY YOUNGER SISTER. ON HER BIRTH, OUR MOTHER DIED. SHE IS HUNGRY. I BEG YOU HER LIFE.”

I opened my bag, instead of giving money, I gave him 2 apples and some eatables because I was not sure that he was saying the truth or telling a lie. The train was running at a slow pace. He happily ran to her on the platform and gave her an apple to eat. The way she ate was proving that the boy was saying the truth. After eating some part, she gave the remaining part to her brother containing the seeds. He ate without thinking for a second that the seeds could make his stomach ache.

The shining happy eyes of his sister were so deep in love with his brother when he had an apple. The eyes told me, the seeds cannot affect his brother because the seeds were not of apple but “THE SEEDS OF WISDOM”. He knew if he refuses to eat that part of apple he will steal the happiness of his sister. He didn’t make compromise indeed, he made a responsible decision. THE WISDOM SAYS IF YOU ARE LACKING IN SOME MATERIALISTIC GOALS THAN YOU DEFINITELY ACHIEVED SOMETHING AS WELL. WHAT MATTERS IS NOT WHAT WE DON’T HAVE BUT WHAT WE HAVE AND HOW CAN WE MAKE IT BETTER.

Often we confuse the two ideologies either “LIFE IS A RACE” or “LIFE IS A JOURNEY”. While spending our time, we feel some controversies of thoughts and sometimes we feel both are accurate. Generally, while travelling we feel such thoughts and try to make a decision that which phrase is a better one? LIFE IS NEITHER A RACE NOR A JOURNEY. LIFE IS THE MOMENT WITH DIFFERENT TASTES: SWEET, SOUR, AND SALTY WITH DIFFERENT INTENSITY. WHAT YOU CAN DO IS TO LIVE INTO THE MOMENT AND MAKE THE MOST OUT OF IT. LOVE IT, AND LIVE IT.
