HIDING THE SCARS
Tick-tock, tick-tock, and the time was running. It’s 10 A.M., and everyone was in rush to hold their place in the office. Everyone was pleased to meet everyone, some conversations about the upcoming day, meetings to make some decisions and achieving the targets of the organization. Except one person everyone greets each other. The angry young man was there considered to be emotionless and tasteless in life. No mix up with colleagues, no party or outings, he was just confined to his allotted seat in the office.
With the passing days, everyone had accepted that he is merely a furniture in the office, just to put files of work and carry the weight of life. He had no recognition or it is considered he doesn’t want to live the charm of life. He was just a lifeless fellow until the day a young average looking boy, Dheeraj joined the office. The boy was just a pass out graduate so he was not well aware of the professional life politics, real-life tragedies, and experiences that made him so humble and social with all. He greets everyone and as a fresher was also exploited without being noticed.
The entire atmosphere blossomed with Dheeraj’s refreshing and positive outlook towards life. His observations about everyone was keen and true and he uses to tell what he was being taught by his parents. His truthfulness and commitment towards his work were commendable. He told his mother is friendly and father is the man of few and wise words who always told to be the man of wisdom in himself without bothering what others will think of you and your efforts must be for your deeds only. Even if he knows, he was being exploited he always welcome everything with a welcome behavior. He had taken place in the hearts of everyone.
The time ran with its pace and now it’s been 8 months to Dheeraj in the office and it’s the time for celebration for him. It was his life’s biggest day, it was his birthday. He was so nice to everyone and had the blessing from all except the person who was being considered the mere piece of furniture in the office. Dheeraj had a habit to present a card of appreciation on his birthday to everyone he admired for something and also tries to be the best version of oneself.
He gave a card of complement to everyone and also to the person who was not much liked and appreciated. That turned the perception of all for the person always considered to be arrogant and was hated for that. For the first time he smiled, he hugged, he greeted someone in the office and that was Dheeraj. This made everyone surprise that a rock hearted person turned to be a person full of appreciation.
Everyone was shocked to see this so the manager of the organization asked Dheeraj asked what was wrote on the card. Dheeraj showed them the piece of card that stunned everyone, that no one could ever judge, only 3 words summed up everything over there, “LOVE YOU DAD”.
The beauty of soul, unspeakable words, and generous heart may take time to be recognized but one day it will definitely surpass the heart one day. If one loves to be solitude it doesn’t mean that the emotions of the one don’t fly in the skies of the chord of love and belongingness.
I also agree that people living in solitude do want to smile. They also want to cheer but people around him with their perception deter him to do so. At all places one Dheeraj is required.
ReplyDeleteIts great that you have realised it.
It's a must these days as I believe that we must hear the unspoken words and listen to unheard gestures.
